Giclee Art
Prints ( pronounced "gee-clay") is the name for what is
currently
-
the most
advanced digital fine art print making technology. High quality
-
digital images
are created from the original artwork and printed with 8-color
-
to 12-color
professional printers and inks on various surfaces.
-
-
The giclee process provides more detail and a brighter crisper
color that
-
is far beyond
that of lithography. producing a print that is a rival to the
original.
-
-
Giclee prints
can be produced on any kind of paper or on canvas. I chose to print on to
canvas.
-
My originals
are on canvas, and I wanted the prints to be as close to color
and
-
texture as the
originals. Canvas prints are also more durable and roll without
-
creasing for
mailing.
-
-
My Giclee fine
art reproduction on canvas are signed and numbered, limited editions.
-
-
Each
canvas will have a protective coating applied, and is sent
-
to you as a
rolled canvas in a protective mailing tube, ready for you to have mounted on
-
stretcher bars and
professionally framed (without glass) just like an original oil
-
painting.

The Eagle Point
Park foot bridge in Clinton, Iowa might be the most
-
beautiful spot
in the area. It has been a favorite subject of mine for
-
years, as I have
painted many paintings with this bridge as the subject.
-
I could never
quite get the painting I was looking for until this last fall
when
-
the colors and
the light happened. I caught this in a photo and
-
from the start
of the painting through the finish I was happy with it.
-
-
The bridge was
constructed during the depression of the 30s by the Civilian
-
Work Force. The
bridge has stood up to the test of time with a little
-
maintenance, and
its location spanning the valley among the big oaks
-
with its three
arches has always inspired me.

reproduction is 18 by 30 inches
